We studied Jonah and the big fish, often referred to as the whale, however the Bible calls it a big fish and so will we. It was a lot of fun and Lawson and I enjoyed being a part of the evening!
We began with a hotdog supper followed by pictures with the big fish.
The Bible study began with singing and then followed with the story of Jonah. Next, we moved to crafts, which involved decorating foam frames for the pictures taken earlier in the night. They turned out super cute and Lawson's is on the fridge!
The girls are always so sweet and helpful with Lawson
Crafts were followed by "Bible trivia fishing". Kids were asked a Bible question related to Jonah and were then able to fish for cool prizes! We are thankful for our "fish", Stewart... he did a great job and was quite funny at times! : )Stewart the "fish"
The night ended with games and popsicles. Below the kids are paired up and are blowing balloons back and forth for prizes!
Lots of fun and lots of learning!
Besides going to Vacation Bible School, Lawson also went to school today...
Today was his first day to wear shoes!
He also got the first dose of a little life lesson today... the lesson of what goes around comes around. Yes, he was bit on the arm today by a little girl. It left a mark, but not a terrible one like he has left on others. Although he hasn't bitten in a while, we are hopeful this will have no adverse effects! And maybe we should start explaining the Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Hopefully, that would mean no biting!!
