He weighed 22 lbs and 14 oz and was 31 1/4 in long! Wow is he growing!
Lawson and Dr. Lopez
He is not yet walking and not yet identifying us as Mama and Daddy, but he is doing and liking many other things in life!
He is eating from the table very well and is using his sippy cup very well, too. We can officially start whole milk today and she is encouraging us to get rid of the bottle... eeks! At the table, he will eat chicken and potatoes anyway you prepare them. He likes macaroni-and-cheese, grilled cheese, pancakes, hamburger, poptarts, peas, greenbeans, bread, peanut butter and jelly, goldfish, rice krispy squares, alphabet letters, pizza, yo-go bites, cinnamin rolls, eggs, and has finally acquired a taste for juice! We are lacking on the fresh fruits, but will keep working on them!
He loves to be outside and especially loves to point at the birds. He also enjoys Baby Einstein and his new Disney sing along DVDs. His tractor and new ATV are a favorite along with things he can push or roll on the hardwood floors. He frequently cleans out the kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinets, and his new thing is to "talk on the phone". He holds his hand to his ear and says, "o", of course we think he is saying "hello" in Lawson language and when he is lucky, he gets to play with our phones. He also says "hi" and "bye" very clearly and plainly, he says "Ma Ma" and "Da Da", and he plainly says "look" as he points (at almost everything) and he continues to like to look at the fan.
He is using his baby signs very well and they are so helpful for him to communicate with us and vice-versa. He is signing "more", "eat/drink", "please", and "all-done" with baby signs. We often use the sign for hurt to help him understand the biting issue, but he isn't signing hurt. I must add that when we tell him something "hurts" along with the sign, he pitches a big fit because he is expecting to get in trouble like he does at school when he bites... poor guy. And also, if he wants something and isn't getting his way, he will now sign "please" and I have to admit, it is sooooo sweet that it is very hard not to give in!!!
