ICE! Shrek the Halls

On Saturday, December 15, we traveled over to Nashville to visit Opryland's ICE! display, "Shrek the Halls!".

We met my sister and Luke, and had a great time!  I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves,  however here is the link to Opryland's ICE! information, if you're interested.

The entire display that you will see in the following pictures is built/carved/designed out of ice.  It was really "cool", I mean COLD!!  :)

It was a frigid 9 degrees in the ICE! area, and these lovely blue parkas were supplied to keep you warm.  Emmitt DID NOT like them.  At all.  Not one little bit.

"Look, Mom, it's Puss 'N Boots!"

The Three Little Pigs.
Lawson is acting like them, and Emmitt is finally happy because we agreed to let him take off the blue parka.

Sisters!

Lawson sliding!

Aunt Julie and Uncle Luke sliding!

Emmitt didn't get to go down the slide as he wasn't tall enough.  He keeps saying, "me get bigger, and me go down swide nex year in Naffville, mom?" :)
I assure him over and over again that "next year" he can go down the slide.
Next year probably = 5 years

The fire was even ice... and do you see the wreath?  So neat.

The final part of the ICE! tour included a life-size nativity scene.  It was beautiful, and the story of Jesus' birth was being told over the speakers.  This made it worth the money, for sure.

We left the ICE! display, and walked ten miles over to Opry Mills Mall to do a little shopping.  It was a little busy, to say the least, but the boys did well, all things considered, and I landed some great deals!

The night was complete with dinner at Outback, and then to bed at a hotel in Columbia, TN, where we visited our previous church family the next morning!

Thanks to Julie and Luke for helping with our boys, and for the great memories... we had a blast!

A beautiful snow day

We awoke yesterday morning to a beautiful blanket of snow.  Although a day earlier would have made for a white Christmas, we'll take this pretty white snow any day of the year.  I love it!

And no, I don't have any fun pictures of our boys playing in the snow as they didn't get out of the bed until around 9:30 am, and neither did their mama.  We were lazy in the warm house all day long, and it was wonderful.
That's what Christmas Break is all about, right?!

Dear Santa Claus,

Electronically mailed to, and published in the Weakley County Press; Martin's local newspaper.

Dear Santa Claus,

My name is Lawson Bragg, and I am 4 years old.  I have been good this year, and am very excited about Christmas.

My elf, Yadi, is visiting me, and hopefully he’s sharing nice reports with you.

This year for Christmas, I would like for you to please bring me a few new Bey Blades and Bey Wheels, my own set of golf clubs, a Westview basketball jersey with #1 on it, basketball socks, a new video game for my Wii, a few painting and coloring activities, a dream light, and a bow and arrow.

I’m sure that you and your reindeer get tired while you’re delivering gifts to all the boys and girls, so I will leave you some oatmeal cookies and milk, and sugar cubes and carrots for your reindeer.

Merry Christmas, Santa Claus, and thank you for remembering me!

I love you,
Lawson Bragg

P.S.  Don’t forget my baby cousin, Weston Bragg.  He’s a good boy, too!

They're Engaged!

We are so EXCITED about our new brother-in-law, and our boys are so EXCITED about their new uncle!

Thanksgiving night brought on a new memory when my sister and Luke became engaged.  It is so sweet, and makes me so happy inside for her and Luke.

Sadly, these are the only pics I can find of these two, and in one she is smiling, and the other he's smiling, so I included both of them!  :)

And here Uncle Luke and Lawson are playing telephone... he's so good to them!

The big event is scheduled to occur on September 28, 2013, and I know without a doubt that God's plan is in full-swing.  We have prayed for a special someone for Aunt Julie, and I know that God sent him "our" way... we are thankful that he is going to be a part of our family, and look forward to all that God has in store for them.

On a side note, Emmitt so sweetly calls him "Uncle Wuke"... so sweet!!

Julie and Luke--- the BEST is yet to come!  We are excited about your journey, and will support you two every step of the way.
We Love YOU!

Christmas Pictures

Two weeks ago today, we made a quick trip to the Memphis area for some sweet friends of ours to snap some pictures of our favorite boys... we received our CD of pics yesterday, and are so pleased with their work!  I would like to share a few of them with you...

When we arrived, there were a few horses roaming around, and little brother wasn't so sure.  We couldn't have paid him for a smile around this barn.

Still no smiles...

L.O.V.E. these two...

He looks like his daddy, for sure...

And for our Christmas card... and yes, SNOW would be great!
{finally, a little smile about "Santa's sleigh"} :)

So sweet...

Another fave.  He is still into ties, specifically bow ties.  I'm so glad I brought it with us, because I love these two shots, as well!

Thank you, Brittany and Justin, at Red Chair Photography for your time... it was so much fun, and you captured our little boys so perfectly!
