The month of January brought two different visitors to our doorstep and we were so excited to see them! We haven't made any close friends just yet, so when we found out that loving familiar faces were headed our way we could hardly wait!
The first weekend of January the Sellmeyer family came and spent the afternoon with us. We were close friends with Clay and Katie pre-children while living in the Indianapolis area. They moved to Illinois not long after we moved to Evansville.
They came with their two little boys, Ben and Jack, and Lawson and Emmitt didn't know what to think about having others in our house... Lawson was so busy showing them everything in the house... it was so funny!
The boys had a great time playing and we enjoyed visiting with Clay and Katie.
Clay is originally from the Columbia area, meaning we will get to see them when they come to Mid-Missouri to visit... so excited!
And then mid-January our friend, Rachele, came to visit. Ironically enough, Rachele's close friend from college lives right down the street from us. If you remember, Rachele and Johnny were close friends from Evansville. They are both originally from the Kansas City area, and Rachele graduated from Mizzou so they were excited for us to be moving to Columbia. And we are excited about the opportunity to see them more often given their pass-through-Columbia-trips, as well as Rachele's friend living so close.
Lawson was, once again, very excited about having Rachele and her friend, Samantha, visit. She so kindly brought him a Mizzou football and a Truman the Tiger. He took these two items to school the next week, Rachele... he thinks they are awesome!
We snapped a quick pic for both her blog and ours... Rachele - yours was much better than mine so I stole it... didn't think you'd mind!
Having visitors is always fun, but it warms the heart even more when they are friends whom you love.
It was great to see you Sellmeyer family, and you, too, Rachele... thanks to both of you for taking time out of your schedule to spend some time with us... we look forward to seeing you again soon!
